Past Month Part 1

A lot has happened in the past month. Considering how much has happened I'm going to make this post into two parts (the other of which will be posted tomorrow).

I went on vacation for awhile to Camp Lejeune as I stated in my last post. I had the absolute best time when I was down there. There were always 5 or 6 of us staying there at all times (three of us girls and the rest were the Marines). We get along so well and it was really hard to leave. There was very little sleep and no healthy food (We pretty much lived off pizza and chinese food) and it was just fantastic. Most of the time with that many people staying together, when one wakes up and wakes others up someone is bound to get annoyed. This absolutely wasn't the case down there. Even after 3 hours of sleep, when someone accidentally woke someone up at 5 or 6am, we were all joking and laughing together.

Here are some pics.

From the plane over Raleigh:

Our backyard:
The beach was again across the street, but I only went once and neglected to take my camera.

Sunrise:

This is from our front porch. That little indentation in the middle is actually the entrance to the beach. Why was I up at this time? One of the guys rolled over and smashed me in the head with his elbow. I see this out the window and decide to take a picture. Go figure.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is ice cream cake
In case you're wondering how it got this way, one of my girl friends decided to have one too many drinks and thought it belonged in the fridge. Three of us were up at 6am staring into the fridge trying to figure out what this was. I'm not ashamed to admit we ate some of it anyway and it was damn good.

I absolutely love it down there. I can't even explain how different it is from where I live. I've been down there twice and each time I go down I fall more in love with it. The area is gorgeous and the people are incredibly nice. I love where I live, but down there, it's just a whole different game.

Yes, I guess it's good to be home. You definitely should check it out again. Funny you brought up me being sick. I actually caught a bug this past week and am still recovering.
